On November 27, the Anush Klimchik Foundation took part in the high-level international conference “Effective Defence and Security: Advancing Women’s Meaningful Participation in Armenia’s Armed Forces and Beyond”, held in Yerevan.

The event brought together representatives of government institutions, international organizations, diplomatic missions, think tanks, and non-governmental organizations. Participants discussed key issues related to strengthening the defence system, implementing modern security standards, and expanding women’s participation in military and defence structures.

The conference addressed several key areas:

• enhancing the role of women in the armed forces and the defence sector;
• introducing international best practices to ensure gender balance;
• strengthening women’s involvement in decision-making processes in the field of security.

The Anush Klimchik Foundation supports initiatives aimed at promoting equal opportunities, developing security institutions, and expanding women’s participation in socially significant processes.
